Corpus Christi Parish Hall
Ontario, ID
This project consisted of two wings added to the existing church; a Parish Hall wing, and a Classroom wing. Total area of the addition is 14,000 sf.
The separation of the wings allows for phasing the work to fit the parish needs and budget. The existing church has a gathering space that is central to the church and to both planned ‘wings’. Both wings will be accessed from the existing gathering space, and will have access to the existing restrooms, as well as the Sanctuary.
Parish Hall wing, 9,504 sf, includes:
· 4,032 sf Parish Hall, with adjacent nook for a performance platform.
· The Parish hall is planned to seat 250 at tables.
· Operable glass wall in Parish Hall opens to large outside event area.
· Restrooms added to supplement the existing restrooms, both of which are available for use from the Parish Hall.
· 28’ x 40’ full commercial kitchen with Type I hood and appliances.
· Slab outside for ‘back of house’ storage and to set up bbq or fish fry outside for special events.
Classroom Wing, 4,492 sf
· Seven religious education classrooms, six of which are approximately 22’ x 22’, one of which is 21’x25’
· The large classroom will double as a cry room during Mass. Windows will be installed in the existing church wall so that parents with children can participate in the Mass.
